When fully assembled, the Rod of Seven Parts is a 5 foot long pole.

History

Age of Legends, a great war between Law and Chaos
roots of the conflict shrouded in the mists of antiquity
warfare raged on several worlds, even dozens by some accounts
Guardians of Law, the Wind Dukes of Aaqa, an already ancient empire
champion of Chaos, only known as the Queen of Chaos.
neither side could gain the advantage and the war ground on
The tide began to turn when QoC appointed a new general, Miska the Wolf-Spider
With defeat looming over the Wind Dukes, a council was formed
The most powerful champions of law withdrew from the war, leaving their best, the Captains of Law, to resist Miska
The seven champions combined their power and forged a weapon that slay Miska and strike fear into the minions of Chaos
A tapered black rod, not quite as tall as a man was created
With the Rod completed, the seven champions rejoined the conflict at the battle of Pesh, on the world of Oerth
the two armies clashed on a vast, volcanic plane
the Captains of Law drove a wedge into the ranks of Chaos and managed to separate Miska from his troops
Miska stood alone, facing the Rod bearer and a single comrade
the comrade sacrificed themselves in a selfless attack, allowing the rod bearer to drive the rod into Miska
Miska's foul blood covered and penetrated the rod
as the chaos within Miska's blood mingled with the absolute law embbeded with in the rod, the fabric of the multiverse was torn asunder
the rod shattered into seven pieces and Miska was cast through the rift
hordes of Chaos surged to the rift, but the champion gathered the seven pieces of the rod and dove through the rift, sealing it
the sundering of the rod spared Miska's from death, and a portion of him remained within the rod, leaving him crippled
while retreating to the citadel of Chaos, Miska was captured by the Wind Dukes
imprisoning him in a cocoon of pure law and cast him into the depths of Pandemonium where all manner of exiles have hidden
The Wind Duke champion who followed Miska through the rift all but disappeared, most assume they're dead
the seven fragments have been found and lost on a great many worlds
the sundered rod is a powerful tool of Law, but whenever it is assembled the Queen comes hoping to extract Miska's essence so he can escape his prison and lead the armies of chaos once again
the Rod is regarded as a harbinger of doom, as the clash of Law and Chaos inevitably follows it
