Having been tasked with dealing with [[Phil]], our adventurers convinced him to join them with promises of a new leg made by the Duergar. Before setting out, a quick trip back to Forton was required. Arriving back at 2 am, our adventurers got a room for the remainder of the evening and paid for a meal for the morning. | |||

Finding her in the town center helping get set up for the day, she reminded them of their reward for dealing with the goblins; some horses and haunches of meat. Realizing that there might be some undiscovered trade routes, [[Sliver of Straw]] spent the rest of the day procuring trade goods and a cart in hopes of establishing a trade route with the denizens of the [[Underdark]]. She discovered that there was a spell scroll of Locate Object - which she promptly added to her spellbook - and a [[Elemental Gem|yellow diamond]]. After another night's rest, they set off for the caves that the goblins had come from. It was a relatively uneventful journey but our adventurers, along with their goblin and two hirelings, reached the entrance just before dusk. They headed in. After what felt like hours, they came across a small room with a door. Inset within the door were four gems; an emerald, a pearl, a nephrite, and an onyx. They quickly discovered the gems needed to be pressed in the correct order to open the door. After a few more hours of very uneventful travel, our adventurers were getting tired. [[Phil]] told them that there was a small cave off the main path up ahead where they could rest, but [[Rester]] heard voices up ahead and warned the others. [[Dania]] cast invisibility on herself and went up ahead to investigate. In the alcove [[Phil]] spoke of, she found a group of [[Svirfneblin]] making camp. She went back and informed the others. Making sure they were heard well before they were seen, [[Sliver of Straw]] lead the way to the alcove. There they met the Slabnose family and discovered that they were a group of traders. Our adventurers discovered that these [[Svirfneblin]] were once enslaved by the duergar, but were freed with the help of an [[Aarakocra]] and her friends. After some talks about setting up a trade route, the Slabnose family seemed intrigued. | |||
