Is guided them to the old Duergar city wall, and told the flock all about how Tides work. The flock flew up to the top of the wall, making sure to take Loribi with them. Looking into the city, they saw some movement at the far edge of what they could see and made a plan to lure it into the light for a better look. It turned out to be a rust monster. Not wanting to deal with the rust monsters within the city, the flock flew over the buildings to a more open area within the city. Hiding behind some nearby buildings, they managed to spot the creature they had been hearing about. Not nearly as big as they were expecting, they heard the mad musings of a Spectator, one who fancied itself Edemis the god of deceit. Edemis heard the flock hiding and began to attack them, claiming they had set foot into their domain and they would be punished. The flock, thinking quickly, decided it would be best to deceive Edemis that they were worshipers and had brought them an offering. This managed to work and allowed the flock to try and deal with Edemis's eye rays. Rester tried to use his Basilisk Tonsils, but unfortunately only affected himself. Sliver of Straw managed to get close enough to blind Edemis with the pepper he was carrying. After that, it was an easy fight, and Edemis was no more. They claimed what loot they could find, and headed back to IS to head back to the encampment.

When they got back to the encampment, they learned the story of how the Rughaed fled. He saw the other Duergar running and decided to join them.
